Producers and Finishers of Display Graphics
In order to quickly and easily produce large format
prints from your files we require:
1) A colour proof, to scale (but not full size!),
noting any critical colours.
2) Files: In general the easiest
file transfer method is the high-res PDF. Make sure the fonts are embedded
and
that the high-res option is
selected (print ready, NOT web ready). Alternatively we can also print
EPS, TIFF, and
most raw
images (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). For Quark, the EPS format is
only usable if the image does
not contain text, as Quark
does not allow you to embed fonts in an EPS file.
In general Quark documents should
be
distilled to create a high-res PDF. For digital cameras or other
JPEG (also called JPG) files, provide this file
alone. Be aware that
small JPG files will often not provide good results.
Files under 5Mb should be
transmitted via email as an attachment. Larger files may be sent by CD,
DVD,
or
put to our FTP site (call for details).
